Welcome to Community Studies!
This is a 12 week course
designed to study the people, places, and events of local cultural, historical,
and economic significance. The course
will be “team taught” which means, for all purposes, the students will have two
instructors. This class will be one of
your favorites from high school; however, it should be noted, you will also
work more in this class (and walk more) than you will in most other classes. This class is not for the non-self-motivated
learner. But, just because you haven’t
been self-motivated before, doesn’t mean that can’t change! We think we have some interesting activities
and events planned that might just change your perception of school, history,
and education!
